We leverage food, support, and resources

to create a lifeline for people in need.

2024 Impact

    • More than 61,980 individuals received food assistance, 51% of those served were children or seniors
    • Distributed more than 5.6 million pounds of food, equaling more than 4.6 million meals
    • Provided food at no cost to 70 member food pantries and meal providers

More than 1,700 individuals contributed 7,846 hours in 2024.

Preventing Senior Hunger

This year, more older adult neighbors came to us for food assistance. We're proud to provide access to the nutritious food they need to maintain their health and wellness. 

    • More than 54,660 meals provided to seniors in Athens and Hocking Counties through Meals on Wheels 
    • More than 27,000 senior food boxes provided through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program
    • More than 4,240 meals provided a congregate dining sites for seniors.

 

Fighting Hunger, Supporting Health

Not having enough to eat can negatively impact health. Our health programs fight food insecurity and provide one-on-one support with a community health worker to reach health goals.

    • Provided 339 home visits, and 20,268 miles driven by Community Health Workers
    • 3,663 meals enabled for 1197 individuals
