Head Start

Preschool prepares kids for success in elementary school and beyond. Our Head Start programs offer free preschool for three- to five-year-olds for families living with lower incomes. Each day includes structured and unstructured group play to create a creative environment. In addition to education, Head Start provides health services to support parents and their children.

Early Head Start

The first three years are crucial for an infant's development. With a commitment to helping families, the Early Head Start program encourages growth through education and positive parent-child connections. We aim to support each child's well-being and offer home visits for families

HAPCAP Parents Cafe

Parent Café

Parent Café is a parent-led gathering that connects parents in Southeast Ohio. The virtual and in-person meetings create a supportive environment for sharing experiences, accessing resources, and strengthening community connections. In-person sessions provide light meals and childcare. Virtual sessions include meal kits and activity kits. The program is presented in partnership with the Ohio Children's Trust Fund (OCTF).

Pregnancy Program

We understand that the time during pregnancy and the first few months post-partum is critical for the health of parents and their babies. We aim to improve the health of families in our region. Through our program, Bringing Healthy Home, we support families by increasing food access, addressing individual concerns, and enhancing their confidence in managing their health.

Car Seat Program

HAPCAP is serious about keeping kids safe in cars and working to prevent injuries from poorly installed child safety seats. We want to make sure every child is secure during car rides. That’s why we provide accessible car seats to those who can’t afford them and educate caregivers on installing them.
