Additionally, we help those facing disconnection or low fuel supplies with the Winter or Summer Crisis Programs.
Water Bill Assistance Programs
Water is crucial for health and hygiene. It is a basic need everyone should have access to. Residents with low incomes facing disconnection risk losing their access to water. The Water Bill Assistance Program gives a one-time payment to the water company. This benefit covers bills, late fees, and reconnect fees, ensuring uninterrupted service for at least 30 days.
HAPCAP MicroLoan Program
HAPCAP and OUCU Financial provide a MicroLoan program for residents of Hocking, Athens, and Perry Counties. Loans of up to $1,500 can cover one-time payments. These payments include car or home repairs, payday or car loans, uncovered medical costs, education fees, and home or apartment deposits.
