About Us

The Southeast Ohio Foodbank  & Regional Kitchen provide access to affordable, quality food resources to those individuals, organizations, and other entities seeking to mitigate food insecurity and promote good nutrition in an efficient, eco-friendly, and sustainable way, thereby supporting the mission and values of Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP), our parent organization.

Southeast Ohio Foodbank

The Foodbank is a distribution center that provides an efficient operation to collect and equitably distribute government-funded, donated, and purchased food to our member agencies. These member agencies operate programs like food pantries, hot meal sites, shelters, and other hunger-relief programs.

The Foodbank secures food donations from corporate and community donors, state and federal food assistance programs, Feeding America, the national foodbank network, and special purchase programs. In 2016, we distributed nearly 6 million pounds of food, including 1.4 million pounds of fresh produce.

The Foodbank is a member of the Ohio Association of Foodbanks and Feeding America.

Southeast Ohio Regional Kitchen

Our Kitchen provides direct client service for seniors and children in our community, repackages bulk food items for the Foodbank, offers catering services, and is available to the community for rent. The Kitchen is locally, state, and federally licensed. Last year the Kitchen served around 140,000 meals.

The Kitchen is a member of Meals-on-Wheels America.
