Vehicle Repair Program

 This program is designed to assist individuals who are enrolled in career training, employed or newly hired needing essential car repairs. Residents of Hocking, Athens, and Perry counties may be eligible for up to $2500 of vehicle repairs by an ASE certified mechanic.

Eligible households must meet the following requirements:

  • Vehicle must be the primary source of transportation for employment, training, or active job seeking.
  • Vehicle must be titled to a household member.
  • Must provide valid proof of insurance for the vehicle.
  • Household income must be below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guides (see below)

Residents interested in applying for the Vehicle Repair Program must complete a WIOA Interview Packet. Please read the entire packet carefully, as there is little room for error. You must submit a COMPLETED packet with ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS, or you will receive a denial letter.  DOWNLOAD HERE.

If you need assistance completing your interview packet, please contact a Resource Navigator at 740-767-4500 or info@hapcap.org from 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday. You will be contacted with an appointment date after your interview packet has been reviewed for completeness.
