Perry County Job Coach

HAPCAP is excited to announce multiple Summer Job Coach Position openings with the Perry County Comprehensive Case Management & Employment Program (CCMEP), a program funded by Perry County Job and Family Services. The ideal candidates are community oriented, enthusiastic about working with local youth, and have experience with computers and or online learning.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Mentoring local youth, helping program participants develop essential employment skills necessary for future career success, working with online training providers, providing technical support, and fostering a positive working relationship between the participants and HAPCAP. We are seeking one applicant who has specific training or education in information and telecommunication systems. This job coach position will be responsible for providing technical support to participants, partners, and or staff. The pay is $12.80 per hour.

This is a full-time seasonal position that will begin in June and run through early August. HAPCAP is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Temporary Summer Feeding Driver

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action is now accepting resumes for the position of Temporary Summer Feeding Driver stationed at our Regional Food Center in Logan. The position is responsible for delivering meals to our established Summer Feeding sites, reporting roster information, assisting in packaging and loading of meals, and serving as a liaison between the participants and the kitchen.

Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED. Applicants must also have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. The position is temporary and will run from June 1st through August 14th. Pay for this position begins at $10.10 per hour.

Hocking County Job Coach

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is excited to announce that it has summer Job Coach position opening in Hocking County. Applicants for the Job Coach position should enjoy working with youth and young adults, spending more time in the field than in the office, and have a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: daily worksites visits, worksite development, program planning, and mentoring and providing case management for CCMEP-eligible youth and young adult participants (ages 14-24). The pay is $12.80 per hour.

This is a full time, temporary position that will start immediately and go through the end of August.

Athens On Demand Transit Drivers

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action's Athens On Demand Transit program is accepting applications for part-time drivers. This position is less than 30 hours per week at $10.10 per hour.  Hours vary weekly.

Qualifications Include:

  • High School diploma or GED completion
  • You must submit to an FTA/DOT alcohol and drug test at this zero tolerance site
  • Must pass a background check and additional training
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Must be reliable, dependable and able to drive in all weather conditions for extended periods
  • Possess basic math skills and normal hearing and vision with the aid of corrective devices, if needed
  • Must have the ability to bend, crouch, kneel, push and pull, while assisting passengers that may use mobility devices
  • Must be free from fainting, blackouts, dizziness or seizures
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Transportation VISTA

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is seeking a curious, motivated, and organized person for an AmeriCorps VISTA position that will work with HAPCAP’s Transportation and Employment Programs.

The VISTA will help serve the community by assisting local employment programs and community members with obtaining affordable, accessible, and reliable transportation. With the support of a team, the VISTA will work to collect data and provide support for the annual review process of the Hocking and Athens County Coordinated Transportation Plans. They will also create updated materials and conduct direct outreach and transit training for community members, organizations, and businesses. Additionally, they will assist in the implementation of innovative transportation programs to address the current needs of the community.

This position will be based at the Regional Food Center, located in Logan, OH. The program benefits include a living allowance, childcare assistance (if eligible), choice of education award or end of service stipend, and a relocation allowance.
