Community Services Manager
This Community Services Manager position will be based in Perry County and will work as a community resource navigator for clients, staff and community partners and will play a critical role in implementing HAPCAP’s mission to mobilize resources to empower individuals and communities through advocacy and quality services that promote self-sufficiency and improved quality of life.
Responsibilities of these positions include managing agency internal and external referral systems, working with community organizations, conducting one on one case management, eligibility and intake as needed and implementing special projects. We are looking for team-orientated individuals interested in making a difference in the lives of others and the community.
The annual salary for these position starts at $34,000 and includes a full fringe benefits package. This position is full time. All applicants must be highly organized, be able to work individually and as a team, possess excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with people. A college degree and experience in program administration and social work is preferred but relevant work experience, education or training may be sufficient. Applicants must also have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and be willing to complete various training including Community Health Worker Training.

Head Start Position Openings
Hocking Athens Perry Community Action’s Head Start Program has immediate openings for the following positions:
Teachers in Logan, Corning, and New Lexington: These are 40 hour per week positions working 10 months a year. Applicants must have at least an associate degree in Early Childhood Education with preference given to those with a BA. Salary is $13.12 - $18.77 an hour depending on educational qualifications with a full benefit package.
Early Head Start Home Visitor in Nelsonville: This is a 40 hour per week position working 12 months a year. Applicants must have at least an associate degree in Early Childhood Education with preference given to those with a BA. Salary is $12.73 - $15.72 an hour depending on educational qualifications with a full benefit package.
Janitor in Nelsonville: This is a 15 hour per week position at $9.76 per hour, 10 months a year. Applicants must have at least a high school diploma.

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is excited to announce that it has an immediate opening for an Administrative Clerk/Receptionist at the Central Office in Glouster, Ohio. This position is responsible for providing general office support to administrative staff including maintaining files, copying, faxing, sorting mail, preparing correspondence, answering all incoming calls, transferring calls to appropriate staff, greeting clients and the public, and contacting the appropriate staff for referrals when necessary.
Ideal candidates will be proficient with Microsoft Office products including word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail functions. Applicants should have at least 1 year previous clerical or administrative assistant experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, enjoy meeting the public, demonstrate initiative, and be detail-oriented as well as accurate in the completion of assignments.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. In addition, applicants must be willing to work flexible hours and be able to pass a criminal background check. Athens On Demand Transit Drivers
Hocking Athens Perry Community Action's Athens On Demand Transit program is accepting applications for part-time drivers. This position is less than 30 hours per week at $10.10 per hour. Hours vary weekly.
- High School diploma or GED completion
- You must submit to an FTA/DOT alcohol and drug test at this zero tolerance site
- Must pass a background check and additional training
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must be reliable, dependable and able to drive in all weather conditions for extended periods
- Possess basic math skills and normal hearing and vision with the aid of corrective devices, if needed
- Must have the ability to bend, crouch, kneel, push and pull, while assisting passengers that may use mobility devices
- Must be free from fainting, blackouts, dizziness or seizures
- Must be at least 21 years of age
