Hocking Athens Perry Community Action’s Head Start Program has an immediate opening for the following position:

Early Head Start Home Visitor in Logan:  This is a 40 hour per week position working 12 months a year.   Applicants must have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with preference given to those with a BA.    Salary is $ 20.67 – $25.99 per hour depending on educational qualifications with a full benefit package.

Kitchen Programs Coordinator

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action is now accepting resumes for the position of Kitchen Programs Coordinator at the Southeast Ohio Foodbank in Logan, which produces food for Meals on Wheels, Summer Meals, Catering, and Head Start meals—providing around 100,000 meals per year to local communities. The Coordinator works to expand access to nutritional meals for all people in our region, with a special focus on children and seniors. This position is responsible for the overall operations and program management of HAPCAP’s Kitchen Programs, ensuring compliance with USDA and Department of Aging nutrition program regulations. A commitment to addressing issues of poverty and hunger in the community is essential. Candidates must possess strong skills in personal communication, as well as the ability to work with and supervise people of all socio-economic backgrounds.

Duties include, but are not limited to: maintaining administrative requirements across all kitchen programs; training, managing, and supervising staff; overseeing the daily preparation of all meals and production tasks; conducting food quality control measures including inventory, cooking practices, recipes, and menu development; and serving as a back-up or fill in for meal deliveries and kitchen preparation.

An Associate’s degree or higher is preferred, while a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Culinary experience and/or supervisory experience is preferred but not required. Candidate must be ServSafe certified within the first six months of employment. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record are also required.

The salary for this position starts at $51,000 annually and includes a complete fringe benefits package including 100% health, dental, and vision coverage for the employee, a generous paid time off package, and 401(K) retirement plan.

Community Health Specialists

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is looking for one or more Community Health Specialists to work with our HAPCAP for Health team at the Southeast Ohio Foodbank in Logan, OH. As a member of our team, you will work to further health access, food security, and equity for our rural neighbors.

The Community Health Specialist will conduct case management in our Bringing Healthy Home (Maternal/Prenatal) and Food as Medicine programs. The Community Health Specialist will meet with program participants on a regular basis, conducting home visits to deliver food and other materials. They will assess goals and assist with accessing resources and supportive services to meet health and social needs. They will also serve as a liaison between participants and healthcare professionals, to help address barriers to healthcare access.

Successful candidates will have the ability to work well with a wide range of staff, partners, neighbors, and vendors. Additionally, the candidate will need to establish and maintain good relationships with community-based organizations, social service agencies, healthcare providers, and managed care providers for referral of participants and care coordination.

A high school diploma or GED is required. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. In addition, applicants must possess very good computer and organizational skills and have the ability to communicate with people of all socioeconomic backgrounds. A commitment to addressing the causes and conditions of poverty and hunger is essential. Current license as a Community Health Worker in Ohio is preferred but not required.

This is a full-time position within a dynamic, service-oriented work environment. The salary for this position starts and $37,500 annually and includes 100% health, dental, and vision coverage for the employee, a generous paid time off package, retirement plan with 6% employer matching, and periodic Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA).

Mobility Manager

The HAPCAP Mobility Management Program is seeking a Mobility Manager to join our close-knit, mission-driven transportation team. If you are a motivated, open-minded team player, we want to hear from you!

The Mobility Manager serves Athens and Hocking Counties, and works collaboratively in a supporting role with the Mobility Coordinator to improve access to, and increase awareness of, public transportation and mobility needs throughout the region.  With an emphasis on client assistance, data management and reporting, the Mobility Manager functions as an integral part of the Mobility Management Team, providing assistance to individuals calling in for transit information, as well as tracking and recording information/data.

The salary for this full-time position starts at $43,000, and includes a fringe benefits package with health, dental, and vision coverage for, and at no cost to, the employee, a generous paid time off package, a retirement plan with 6% employer matching, and periodic Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA).

Laborer - Housing Office

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is seeking applications to fill
available full time Laborers in our Housing and Community Development Division. The
laborer position provides assistance in completing units for our Home Weatherization
Assistance Program (HWAP) which provides energy efficient measures in client’s
homes such as blown in insulation, air sealing, and ventilation.

Applicants must have basic knowledge of or interest in the construction trades, be able
to work at heights and/or in confined spaces, and be able to lift a minimum of 50
pounds. Applicants must have completed or be willing to complete training courses to
include but not limited to: EPA Lead RRP, Basic Weatherization Tactics, Blower Door
Use, and OSHA 10.

The position will be based at our Housing Office, located in Nelsonville. The starting
salary is $15.00/hour ($31,200/yr) with full fringe benefits including but not limited to
paid sick and vacation leave, select paid holidays, and health, dental, and vision
insurance.

Job Supervisor - Housing Office

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is seeking applications to fill
available full time Job Supervisor in our Housing and Community Development
Division. The Job Supervisor position is responsible for supervising assigned crew for
the Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) and WarmChoice Program
which provides energy efficient measures in client’s homes such as blown in
insulation, air sealing, and ventilation. The Job Supervisor position is responsible for
maintaining inventory, completing assigned job specifications in compliance with
Standard Work Specifications, completing paperwork associated with job, and
providing consumer education. Candidate must be able to communicate well with
others including inspectors, clients, suppliers, and supervisor.

Applicants must have basic knowledge of or interest in the construction trades, be
able to work at heights and/or in confined spaces, and be able to lift a minimum of 50
pounds. Applicants must have completed or be willing to complete training courses

Heating Technician

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action is excited to announce a new position at the
agency, Heating Technician. HAPCAP is seeking to recruit one of these positions to
assist our Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) program with HVAC
related work as it pertains to energy conservation as well as health and safety in residential
settings.

Applicants must have at least one year of HVAC experience (two preferred) and the EPA 608
Technician Certification Type II or Universal. Applicants must be able to work at heights as
well as in confined spaces and must possess an ability to achieve production requirements.
Applicants must be highly organized and attentive to detail, have a strong work ethic, possess a
valid Ohio driver’s license, have a good driving record and have access to reliable transportation.
The successful applicant must have or be able to complete training programs such as Heating
Technician Training, Heating Unit Inspection, Lead EPA RRP, and OSHA 10. The salary for
Heating Technician is $40,000 - $45,000 per year with full fringe benefits including but not
limited to paid sick and vacation leave, select paid holidays, and health, dental, and vision
insurance.

Part Time On Call Maintenance Worker

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action is seeking a part time Maintenance Worker to be available to respond to emergency maintenance needs at Creekside Apartments in Chauncey, Ohio outside of standard business hours. The times of possible short notice need to respond will be from 4 PM - 8 AM daily Monday - Friday as well as all weekends and holidays. Hours of work will vary greatly, be inconsistent and will be based solely on after hours need.

Applicants will be expected to be able to perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance functions at any of the six buildings at Creekside Apartments and should have 1 year of maintenance experience. Applicants must be able to work on all aspects of the property both inside and out as well as in confined spaces and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
