Employment Services Specialist - Hocking Co

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is seeking applicants to serve as an Employment Services Specialist in Hocking County. This position is responsible for offering a wide variety of dynamic and innovative services that support youth ages 14-24 to meet their employment, education and life goals.  Responsibilities of this position include providing programming and supportive services, conducting case management and working with community partners to assist program participants in maintaining employment and/or furthering their education. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a team working to meet the needs of the community.

Applicants should be capable of working individually and as a team, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoy working with others. Candidates should be comfortable meeting with people individually as well as speaking in front of small groups.  In addition, applicants should be able to demonstrate evidence of being self-motivated, have the ability to multi-task and problem solve and have basic knowledge of common computer programs such as Word and Excel.

The annual salary for this full-time position starts at $37,500 and includes a full fringe benefits package including 100% employer paid health, dental, and vision coverage for the employee, paid sick, vacation, and holiday leave, and a 401(k) retirement plan. A commitment to addressing issues of poverty is essential. A college degree and experience in program administration and/or social work is preferred, but relevant work experience, education or training may be sufficient. Seasonal Summer Meals Driver

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is now accepting resumes for the positions of Seasonal Summer Meals Driver stationed at the Southeast Ohio Foodbank in Logan. The position is responsible for handling, preparing, storing, and delivering meals to our established Summer Feeding sites, reporting roster information, assisting in packaging and loading of meals, and serving as liaisons between the participants and the kitchen.

Applicants must have GED or high school diploma.  Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.  This position is full-time, temporary, and lasting for 3 months from mid-May through mid-August.  Hours of work 7:00AM to 3:00PM, Monday – Friday.

Maternal & Infant Health Innovation VISTA
As our VISTA member, you will plan and implement a regional maternal and infant needs assessment. You will also conduct a doula workforce capacity evaluation. The goal of these assessments will be to document unmet needs and current disparities in access to care in Southeast Ohio. Seasonal Warehouse Associate

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is now accepting resumes for the position of Seasonal Warehouse Associate stationed at the Southeast Ohio Foodbank in Logan. The position is responsible for safe and efficient daily warehouse operations, delivery of food to member pantries and clients, and pick-up donations from donors throughout the Foodbank’s service area and occasionally throughout Ohio. As a member of our team, you will work to further food access and food security for our rural neighbors.

Laborer - Housing Office

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is seeking applications to fill
available full time Laborers in our Housing and Community Development Division. The
laborer position provides assistance in completing units for our Home Weatherization
Assistance Program (HWAP) which provides energy efficient measures in client’s
homes such as blown in insulation, air sealing, and ventilation.

Applicants must have basic knowledge of or interest in the construction trades, be able
to work at heights and/or in confined spaces, and be able to lift a minimum of 50
pounds. Applicants must have completed or be willing to complete training courses to
include but not limited to: EPA Lead RRP, Basic Weatherization Tactics, Blower Door
Use, and OSHA 10.

The position will be based at our Housing Office, located in Nelsonville. The starting
salary is $15.00/hour ($31,200/yr) with full fringe benefits including but not limited to
paid sick and vacation leave, select paid holidays, and health, dental, and vision
insurance.

Job Supervisor - Housing Office

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is seeking applications to fill
available full time Job Supervisor in our Housing and Community Development
Division. The Job Supervisor position is responsible for supervising assigned crew for
the Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) and WarmChoice Program
which provides energy efficient measures in client’s homes such as blown in
insulation, air sealing, and ventilation. The Job Supervisor position is responsible for
maintaining inventory, completing assigned job specifications in compliance with
Standard Work Specifications, completing paperwork associated with job, and
providing consumer education. Candidate must be able to communicate well with
others including inspectors, clients, suppliers, and supervisor.

Applicants must have basic knowledge of or interest in the construction trades, be
able to work at heights and/or in confined spaces, and be able to lift a minimum of 50
pounds. Applicants must have completed or be willing to complete training courses
to include but not limited to: EPA Lead RRP, Basic Weatherization Tactics, Blower

good driving record.

Heating Technician

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action is excited to announce a new position at the
agency, Heating Technician. HAPCAP is seeking to recruit one of these positions to
assist our Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) program with HVAC
related work as it pertains to energy conservation as well as health and safety in residential
settings.

Applicants must have at least one year of HVAC experience (two preferred) and the EPA 608
Technician Certification Type II or Universal. Applicants must be able to work at heights as
well as in confined spaces and must possess an ability to achieve production requirements.
Applicants must be highly organized and attentive to detail, have a strong work ethic, possess a
valid Ohio driver’s license, have a good driving record and have access to reliable transportation.
The successful applicant must have or be able to complete training programs such as Heating
Technician Training, Heating Unit Inspection, Lead EPA RRP, and OSHA 10. The salary for
Heating Technician is $40,000 - $45,000 per year with full fringe benefits including but not
limited to paid sick and vacation leave, select paid holidays, and health, dental, and vision
insurance.

Part Time On Call Maintenance Worker

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action is seeking a part time Maintenance Worker to be available to respond to emergency maintenance needs at Creekside Apartments in Chauncey, Ohio outside of standard business hours. The times of possible short notice need to respond will be from 4 PM - 8 AM daily Monday - Friday as well as all weekends and holidays. Hours of work will vary greatly, be inconsistent and will be based solely on after hours need.

Applicants will be expected to be able to perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance functions at any of the six buildings at Creekside Apartments and should have 1 year of maintenance experience. Applicants must be able to work on all aspects of the property both inside and out as well as in confined spaces and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
