Agency Relations  Specialist

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is looking for an Agency Relations Specialist at the Southeast Ohio Foodbank in Logan. The Agency Relations Specialist acts as a liaison between the Foodbank and our member pantries and meal sites to ensure effective, efficient and equitable distribution of food to our ten counties. This position inspects and monitors pantries and meal sites to ensure they meet compliance standards. The Specialist provides orientation and training for new agencies/sites and their personnel, as well as ongoing training for existing agencies and sites. Finally, the Specialist collects and reports relevant data monthly from all member agencies and meal sites, including statistical data of populations served

A high school diploma or GED is required. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. In addition, applicants must possess very good computer and organizational skills and have the ability to communicate with people of all socioeconomic backgrounds. A commitment to addressing the causes and conditions of poverty and hunger is essential.

This is a full-time position within a dynamic, service-oriented work environment. The salary for this position starts and $37,500 annually and includes 100% health, dental, and vision coverage for the employee, a generous paid time off package, retirement plan with 6% employer matching, and periodic Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA).

Head Start Job Openings

Janitor in New Lexington:  This is a 23 hour per week position at $17.36 per hour, 10 months a year.  Applicants must have at least a high school diploma or GED and be able to pass a physical exam and criminal background checks. Must possess the ability to do hard physical labor, lifting/carrying/moving of supplies, tables, bookshelves, running a buffer, etc.

Bus Monitor in New Lexington:  This is a 15 hour per week position paying $16.36 an hour, working 10 months a year.  All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, be able to pass criminal background checks. Must have the ability to cope with stressful situations as related to pre-school and special needs children.

PT Classroom Aide in Athens:  Duties include assisting in the classroom, keeping children safe, assist teachers in implementation of program’s curriculum and school readiness goals.  Applicants are required to have a degree in Early Childhood Education or willing to make regular progress towards obtaining a CDA within 2 years of employment.  This position is a part time position, working 2-6 hours per day, five days a week for 10 months a year.   Salary is $16.36 – $18.92 per hour.  All applicants must be able to pass criminal background checks.

Staff Accountant

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action is now accepting applications for the position of Staff Accountant stationed at the main office space in Glouster, Ohio. Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will play an important support role within the department. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, time management skills, and a thorough knowledge of accrual accounting. They must also demonstrate empathy and an understanding of the mission of HAPCAP. The agency seeks a candidate excited to join a dedicated, experienced team.

Duties include but are not limited to entering accruals generated by the Payroll Manager and the Accounts Payable Supervisor into the program general ledgers, generating documentation for general journal entries and cash receipts for all programs, inputting program budgets into accounting software, maintaining a variety of bank reconciliations, and collaborating on the monthly closing of financial books.

Candidates must possess one of the following: an associate’s degree in accounting and at least one year of accounting experience (preferred); a high school diploma or GED equivalent and at least three years of accounting experience; or comparable education and experience in a closely related field.

The education and experience listed above should include proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Candidates must also have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record.

The salary for this position starts at $51,000 annually, along with 100% health, dental, and vision coverage for the employee, a generous paid time off package, a retirement plan with 6% employer matching, and periodic Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA).

CSFP Specialist

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is looking for a CSFP Specialist at the Southeast Ohio Foodbank in Logan. CSFP is the Commodity Supplemental Food Program, a federal program that provides food boxes for seniors on a monthly basis. Responsibilities include but are not limited to client caseload management, client communication, and attending CSFP distributions to obtain signatures on eligibility forms and sign-in sheets. The Specialist also creates reports on client caseload and other program outcomes as assigned. Finally, the Specialist will promote the CSFP program across the broader community and work collaboratively to identify and implement strategies to recruit new participants and agency sites.

Part-Time Maintenance Worker

Hocking.Athens.Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is excited to announce that it has an  opening for a part-time Maintenance Person at the Central Office in Glouster, Ohio. This position is responsible for the orderly and timely maintenance and janitorial services of assigned buildings and facilities.

A high school diploma or GED is required. Applicants must be skilled in all areas of building maintenance and janitorial services, be semi-skilled in all areas of building construction and renovation, capable of working individually and as a team, possess excellent communication and have the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. In addition, applicants must be willing to work flexible hours and be able to pass a criminal background check. Laborer - Housing Office

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is seeking applications to fill

laborer position provides assistance in completing units for our Home Weatherization
Assistance Program (HWAP) which provides energy efficient measures in client’s
homes such as blown in insulation, air sealing, and ventilation.

Applicants must have basic knowledge of or interest in the construction trades, be able
to work at heights and/or in confined spaces, and be able to lift a minimum of 50
pounds. Applicants must have completed or be willing to complete training courses to
include but not limited to: EPA Lead RRP, Basic Weatherization Tactics, Blower Door
Use, and OSHA 10.

The position will be based at our Housing Office, located in Nelsonville. The starting
salary is $15.00/hour ($31,200/yr) with full fringe benefits including but not limited to
paid sick and vacation leave, select paid holidays, and health, dental, and vision
insurance.

Job Supervisor - Housing Office

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is seeking applications to fill

Division. The Job Supervisor position is responsible for supervising assigned crew for
the Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) and WarmChoice Program
which provides energy efficient measures in client’s homes such as blown in

maintaining inventory, completing assigned job specifications in compliance with
Standard Work Specifications, completing paperwork associated with job, and
providing consumer education. Candidate must be able to communicate well with
others including inspectors, clients, suppliers, and supervisor.

Heating Technician

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action is excited to announce a new position at the
agency, Heating Technician. HAPCAP is seeking to recruit one of these positions to
assist our Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) program with HVAC
related work as it pertains to energy conservation as well as health and safety in residential
settings.

Applicants must have at least one year of HVAC experience (two preferred) and the EPA 608
Technician Certification Type II or Universal. Applicants must be able to work at heights as
well as in confined spaces and must possess an ability to achieve production requirements.
Applicants must be highly organized and attentive to detail, have a strong work ethic, possess a
valid Ohio driver’s license, have a good driving record and have access to reliable transportation.
The successful applicant must have or be able to complete training programs such as Heating
Technician Training, Heating Unit Inspection, Lead EPA RRP, and OSHA 10. The salary for
Heating Technician is $40,000 - $45,000 per year with full fringe benefits including but not
limited to paid sick and vacation leave, select paid holidays, and health, dental, and vision
insurance.

Part Time On Call Maintenance Worker

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action is seeking a part time Maintenance Worker to be available to respond to emergency maintenance needs at Creekside Apartments in Chauncey, Ohio outside of standard business hours. The times of possible short notice need to respond will be from 4 PM - 8 AM daily Monday - Friday as well as all weekends and holidays. Hours of work will vary greatly, be inconsistent and will be based solely on after hours need.

Applicants will be expected to be able to perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance functions at any of the six buildings at Creekside Apartments and should have 1 year of maintenance experience. Applicants must be able to work on all aspects of the property both inside and out as well as in confined spaces and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
