For over 60 years, HAPCAP has worked to lift up Southeast Ohioans.

Our Mission:

Mobilize resources to empower individuals and communities through advocacy and quality services that promote self-sufficiency and improved quality of life.


Our Vision:

We live and work in a thriving community where poverty does not stand in our way - where neighbors help one another, where all people are valued, and where every person has the opportunity and resources to live a joyful, fulfilling life.

Child Nutrition Services

Impact

We speak up and solve problems that need fixed. We create, manage, and deliver programs, processes, and resources that make lives better. We are effective, efficient, and accurate in our work. We seek excellence.

What We Do

  • Head Start offers free preschool and in-home visits and education support to parents that foster positive connections.
  • Employment services for 14 - 24 year olds that offer training, work experience, and job coaching.
  • Housing support, including utility assistance, repair and rehabilitation services, and fair housing program administration.
  • Transportation through GoBus, Athens Public Transit, Athens on Demand Transit, and Logan Public Transit.
  • Community infrastructure projects that create jobs and improve community facilities.
  • SE Ohio Foodbank serves 60+ member food pantries and meal providers in ten Southeastern Ohio counties.
  • HAPCAP for Health provides nutritional and personalized support by Community Health Workers.
  • And so much more!
