Hunters Can Donate Venison to the SE Ohio Foodbank Through ODNR Partnership

Hunters in Hocking County can donate their deer through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ (ODNR) Field to Food Bank program this November. Donated venison will be distributed by the SE Ohio Foodbank through its partner pantries to help provide food to local neighbors in Hocking County.

Hunters can drop off their harvest at Downs Bait and Gun, located at 30586 Lake Logan Road in Logan, on November 21 and November 22. There is no cost to participate. After processing, the venison will be distributed to the foodbank through the program.

According to ODNR, one deer can provide approximately 168 to 200 servings of food.
