Senior Nutrition Specialist

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action is now accepting resumes for the position of Senior Nutrition Specialist stationed at our Southeast Ohio Foodbank in Logan. This position assists in the operation and oversight of all senior nutrition initiatives related to the Southeast Ohio Regional Kitchen. Candidates must possess strong skills in personal communication with elderly populations, as well as the ability to work with people of all socio-economic backgrounds.

Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating and compiling all Meals on Wheels data including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports, surveys, and assessment. The successful candidate will also maintain and monitor a centralized intake system for enrolling eligible applicants and recruit new clients to ensure that the programs continue to expand and meet their objectives. The Senior Nutrition Specialist acts as a liaison and serves as the point person for all senior nutrition programs at the Southeast Ohio Foodbank. This position also serves as a back up or fill in for meal deliveries and kitchen preparation.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent with an Associate’s degree or higher preferred. Upon hire, the candidate is required to complete the ServSafe Training during the Probationary Period. Candidates must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record.

The salary for this position is $36,000 annually and includes a complete fringe benefits package a complete fringe benefits package including 100% health, dental, and vision coverage for the employee, a generous paid time off package, and 401(K) retirement plan.

Operations Manager

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is excited to announce that it has an immediate opening for an Operations Manager at the Central Office in Glouster, Ohio. This position provides human resources support to the agency and Human Resources Administrator; this position shall also provide administrative and secretarial support to the Executive Director and the Director of Finance & Administration. This position is responsible for helping new hires complete paperwork, new hire orientation, background checks, BMV checks, typing, filing, scheduling of Board or Executive Committee meetings as needed, coordinating direct mailings, working on special projects, assembles highly confidential and sensitive information, deals with a diverse group of important external callers, clients, visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization.

An associate’s degree in business is preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent, with two years of management/HR experience is acceptable. Applicants should be capable of working individually and as a team, possess excellent communication and computer skills, and have the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. In addition, applicants must have good time management skills, be willing to work flexible hours, and be able to pass a criminal background check. Head Start Positions

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action’s Head Start Program has immediate openings for the following positions:

Center Based Teacher in Athens, Nelsonville, Laurelville, and Logan:  This is a 40 hour per week position working 10 months a year.  Applicants must have at least an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with preference given to those with a BA.  Salary is $17.84 – $22.96 an hour depending on educational qualifications with a full benefit package.

Meal Driver:  This is a 10 hour per week position at $15.00 per hour, 10 months a year.  Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and be insurable. Must have high school diploma or GED and be able to pass a physical exam and a criminal background checks.

Center Coordinator/ Family Partnership in Nelsonville:  This is a full time position working 12 months a year.  Applicants must be able to meet State and Federal licensing requirements for a Child Care Administrator.  A Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education with experience working in a child care setting is preferred.  An Associate degree with relevant experience may be considered.  Salary is 25.53- 26.63 an hour depending on educational qualifications.

The position offers a full benefit package.  All applicants must be able to pass criminal background checks, drug testing and able to obtain a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a school bus endorsement.

Job Coaches, Hocking, Athens, & Perry Counties

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is excited to announce multiple summer Job Coach positions across Hocking, Athens, and Perry Counties.

We are looking for responsible and motivated team players that have a passion for helping others. Ideal candidates are quick learners, highly organized, enjoy spending more time in the field than in the office, have computer experience and possess excellent communications skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: mentoring 14- to 24-year-olds, daily worksite visits, completing paperwork accurately, helping participants develop employment skills, program planning, and fostering a positive relationship between the participants and HAPCAP.

The pay is $15.87 per hour. This is a full time, seasonal position that will start in May and run through early August. All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
