Free Rides for Vaccine Appointments

Local transit programs offering free rides to COVID-19 vaccine appointments

(MEDIA RELEASE) – With COVID-19 cases again on the rise, Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is reminding residents that its curb-to-curb transportation programs are offering free rides to COVID-19 vaccine appointments.

Passengers may travel for free to any vaccine provider within their respective county. Those in Athens County needing a ride to their vaccine can schedule transport with Athens On Demand Transit. Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Rides may be scheduled by calling (740) 597-2404 or visiting their Website.

Those in Hocking County can schedule with Logan Public Transit. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, and interested passengers may schedule by calling (740) 385-6999.

All rides must be scheduled in advance. HAPCAP is not able to schedule vaccine appointments on behalf of passengers. For assistance in locating a vaccine provider, please visit https://buckeyehills.org/vaccine-information.

Perry County Transit is also offering free rides to vaccine appointments. Interested passengers may call (740) 342-2810 for more information.
