Food for Seniors
"Even the most independent among us, if fortunate to live long enough, may experience a decline in mobility or health that can strip away our independence and diminish the quality of our lives."
Seniors, including seniors raising their grandchildren, are among the fastest-growing population of food insecure households. Studies show that food insecure seniors are at an increased rise of poorer health and chronic conditions, including diabetes and heart disease. Seniors are often faced with tough choices including paying for medication or buying groceries. We work hard to get nutritious food into the hands of seniors in our community.
