Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels Routes are covered 3 days a week where drivers deliver well-balanced meals to home-bound seniors. We view each program participant as a neighbor and friend. The Regional Kitchen carefully coordinates its meal preparation and delivery by taking into account the individual needs of each senior. Through the deliveries, seniors not only receive nutritious meals, but a safety and wellness check as many of our clients live alone and our driver may be the only person they see regularly.
Thanks to a grant from Meals on Wheels America and a generous pet food donation from PetSmart, we are also able to distribute pet food and supplies to our clients’ pets. Every month, clients of the program receive a free delivery of pet food for their companion. The mission of this program is to help keep people and their pets together by eliminating one of the logistical and financial impediments to proper pet care. We are thankful to work with Friendly Paws Pet Supplies & Grooming, White's Mill, and Poochie Parlor who support our pet programs.
