We know that many of our neighbors need assistance with rent and utility payments right now. We have been receiving many applications but only have a limited amount of money, so we had to put a hold on accepting applications. Applications are not being accepted at this time.
On January 10, we will post an update about funding for this program on our website and social media. We ask that you do not contact us about new applications until then. Our staff will be working hard to process the applications we have received.
If you have a current application that is in pending, please make sure that you get it completed by the due date or your application will no longer be considered.
We cannot guarantee that funding will be available. Please do not plan on getting this assistance when considering your bills.
There are other programs that may be able to help with utility assistance, like the Home Energy Assistance Program, the Winter Crisis Program and the Water and Sewer Bill Programs. If you need help determining what resources are right for you, please contact a Community Resource Navigator at 740-764-4500 or email info@hapcap.org
