Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is excited to announce that it has an immediate opening for a Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist at the Central Office in Glouster, Ohio. This position is responsible for receiving, reviewing and paying all accounts payable vouchers and journal entries for the agency, generates monthly accounts payable checks, some bank reconciliations, sets up vendors in the software system and other financial activities as assigned.

At least one year accounts payable experience is preferred. Applicants should be capable of working individually and as a team, possess excellent communication and computer skills, and have the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals. An Associate’s Degree in Accounting or a similar field is preferred. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and thorough knowledge of accrual based accounting. In addition, applicants must be bondable, have good time management skills, willing to work flexible hours and be able to pass a criminal background check. The salary range for this position starts at $30,000.
