Hocking Athens Perry Community Action is excited to announce that it has openings for Flood Cleanup Crew Laborers to operate Disaster Recovery Programs in Perry County.  Ideal candidates will possess a GED or High School Diploma, a current driver’s license, and be reliable to report to the New Lexington Flood Office, 8 AM – 4 PM, Monday through Fridays.  Applicants must enjoy working outdoors and be able to lift at least 50 pounds, be capable of working individually or as a team and possess excellent communication skills. The positions are full time, pay $11.06 per hour plus full fringe benefits, and last for up to a year.

To be considered for either position applicants must live in Perry County, have earned a high school diploma or GED, and meet Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) eligibility criteria for a dislocated worker.  You may also qualify if you are unemployed, been terminated or laid off, were self-employed, or are a transitioning service member, recently separated veteran, or a displaced homemaker.

Training will be provided and crew laborers will be required to pass a drug screening and all training components successfully in order to work.
